- Pharyngeal examination with head lamp
- Indirect laryngoscopy with laryngeal mirror
- Laryngoscopy with rigid endoscope of the larynx or with flexible endoscope (naso-laryngoscope)
- Laryngoscopy with flexible video-laryngoscope
- Biopsies with local anesthesia from the area of the oropharynx
- Strep-test for diagnosis of streptococcal tonsillitis
